WINDRIDER FILM FORUM, CINEMA IN CONVERSATION ANNOUNCES
NORTHERN CALIFORNIA PREMIERE OF MARK RUFFALO’S
SYMPATHY FOR DELICIOUS
Windrider Film Forum and Fuller Seminary are pleased to announce the Northern California special screening of SYMPATHY FOR DELICIOUS, Friday April 9th at the Menlo-Atherton Performing Arts Center.
Acclaimed actor Mark Ruffalo makes his feature film directorial debut and co-stars in SYMPATHY FOR DELICIOUS alongside the main character and screenwriter of the film, Christopher Thornton. The all-star cast also includes Orlando Bloom, Juliette Lewis, Noah Emmerich, James Karen, John Caroll Lynch, Robert Widsom and Laura Linney.
SYMPATHY FOR DELICIOUS, which won the Special Jury Prize at this year’s Sundance Film Festival, is an edgy rock-and-roll drama that creatively embraces many of life’s issues; the lasting effects of tragedy, the search for meaning and the ultimate power of redemption. But the message the audience will truly walk away with is that “You get the healing that you need, not the healing that you want.”
Tickets for Windrider Film Forum and SYMPATHY FOR DELICIOUS are available now at www.windriderbayarea.org or contact Fuller Seminary in Menlo Park, 650-321-7444.

More on Windrider Bay Area -
The spirit of the Sundance Film Festival is blowing into the Bay Area, as the Windrider Film Forum makes its Bay Area debut, April 8-10 at the beautiful new Menlo- Atherton Performing Arts Center.
Fuller Seminary is proud to present the Windrider Film Forum Bay Area, a unique, three day film festival experience heralding the voice and impact of the independent filmmaker, by creating an interactive atmosphere between filmmakers and film-goers. Windrider Film Forum is showcasing award-winning feature and short length films, over the three day program and inviting filmmakers of these films to host lively Q & A sessions after each screening.
Spawned from the Sundance Film Festival in 2005, John and Ed Priddy of the Priddy Brothers Production Company, Fuller Seminary, and the Angelus Student Film Festival, co-developed the concept of Windrider, as a forum for students and teachers interested in the intersection of film, culture and conversation.
Windrider is a platform for conversation and has grown exponentially over recent years with film forums held in Colorado Springs, Canada (Toronto Film Festival), Milan, Rome, Tuscany, and Prague.
“Windrider Forums are all about community connecting and creating space for conversation.” Says John Priddy, Co-founder, Windrider Film Forum
The forum’s opening event will be a talk with producer Ralph Winter (Star Trek and X-Men films, X-Men Origins: Wolverine, and the 2007 blockbuster Fantastic Four) and Fuller’s Chap Clark, followed by the screening of the award-winning documentary After the Storm featuring a Q&A with Academy Award winner and film subject James Lecesne, and Peabody Award winning producers John and Ed Priddy.
Friday evening’s feature is the renowned film Sympathy for Delicious, which was nominated for the Grand Jury Prize at the 2010’s Sundance Film Festival and whose lead actor, Mark Ruffalo, not only directed the film, but also won the Special Jury Prize at Sundance for his acting in the film. I’ve just returned from the screening of ‘Sympathy for Delicious’ and all I want to do is see it again. An honest and thought provoking directorial debut from actor and now writer/director Mark Ruffalo and long time friend Christopher Thornton. This film is a labor of love, friendship and struggle in every sense of the word. I highly recommend that you seek it out when it receives distribution.
