Want to be part of Windrider Forum @ Park City during Sundance 2009? We are currently seeking partners to host our attending students.
Looking deeply at the stories that shape our times.
Windrider Forums are creative encounters and ongoing conversations between filmmakers and film lovers.
Gathering at the nexus of faith, art and culture, we dive into all three with a sense of expectation and wonder as we explore the stories shaping our times, connecting filmmakers and their art with an audience hungry for in depth conversation with these 21st century poets and storytellers.
Each year, during the snowy month of January, Windrider Forum treks to Park City, Utah with a mission to explore this dialogue during the Sundance Film Festival. Undergraduate film students from Biola University and Taylor University are joined by graduate students from Fuller Theological Seminary and award winning filmmakers from the Angelus Student Film Festival. What ensues is a rich, exciting, emotional and thoughtful experience that stays with you long after the forum ends.
There are several amazing people who make this event possible, our hosts Mountain Vineyard Christian Fellowship led by Pastor Lenny and Linda Perata, Biola trip leader Peggy Rupple, Fuller trip leader Will Stoller-Lee and the director of the Angelus Awards, Monika Moreno.
We invite you to join us as we begin planning for Windrider Forum at Park City 2009! Open your heart and open your home to the experience of new found friends, the passionate exchange of ideas and the celebration of faith in art! We look forward to sharing this experience with you.
“I watched the impact of Windrider on Film and Theology students from Fuller, Biola and Taylor Universities, at Sundance in January. They began to see how the hurt, pain and confusion in our society was being profoundly communicated by numerous filmmakers.” –Bill Kinnon
